Building healthy soil is a cornerstone of a productive garden.
Today, Justin shares with us his recipe for making bokashi which is a bio-fermentation process designed to quickly break down organic matter into compost, inoculating the soil with beneficial microorganisms.
Justin enhances his bokashi with mycelium and microorganisms that he harvests from the forest.
He then adds biochar in the mix to increase surface area for absorption and slow release of nutrients and moisture when the plants need it most.
