Get ready to be supported!
It’s time to build more connected villages!
How’s your relationship with the world around you?
Regenerative Projects Stand on Four Essential Pillars:
Pillar 1: Agriculture (Permaculturally Designed & Organic)
Pillar 2: Physical Structures (Ecological & Uplifting)
Pillar 3: Business Infrastructure (Ethical & Organized)
Pillar 4: Social Infrastructure (Connected & Inclusive)
Many regenerative projects begin with a focus on their agricultural, physical, and business infrastructures…
Understandable, as these are three of the pillars that a thriving land-based regenerative enterprise needs to get established. It can be tempting. however, to leave the social aspects of a project as future details to be worked out at some future date.
But when does that time come?
A holistic social infrastructure is the 4th pillar that keeps the organization resilient under pressure!
Have you ever considered heading up a community outreach project in your neighboring Pueblo?
A recycling station, maybe? A library? A garden at the local school?
How about organizing community work parties to make minor improvements on the homes of those in need?
Have you mapped out the steps to make that happen yet?
What if you had support?
What about a Regenerative Enterprise?
Could you imagine helping to organize a community-operated solar food dryer? What about a local organic certification association? How about a buyers club for whole food items to combine buying power and bring food wholesale to your neighbors (and yourself)?
Could you imagine helping to incubate it and leaving it in that hands of a local collective to operate? What would that do for your project’s reputation in the village? What would that do for you project’s sense of security in a shifting world. What would that do for your children’s relationship with the world around them?
It feels good to know that your neighbors have your back because you’re all part of the same community.
How’s your relationship with your employees?
How could it be better? Are you following all the labor laws and providing appropriate benefits? Do you fully know what they are?
What do you know about their dreams and desires? How well do you know their families? Would you like to learn what others have done to improve their situation?
Have you attended the Asociación de desarrollo
This is a group of neighbors who regularly meet to discuss things like maintaining the roads we use, the water systems, school projects, and other communally used spaces.
They have agreements and customs that are important to them. Some of which have been established over generations to support community-held values.
Would you like to know what they are and feel more connected to the community? What if you could make meaningful well-received contributions that benefit that community for generations to come?
Village Building is the work of many hands
Let’s do it together!
What is a mastermind?
Napoleon Hill coined the term mastermind in the 1920s to refer to:
“The coordinated knowledge & effort of two or more people, working toward a common purpose, in the spirit of harmony.”
The collective mind that results ends up being greater than the sum of its parts.
A mastermind is a facilitated peer advisory group. It’s an environment of people that want to lead and be led. It’s where you have the support of talented, knowledgeable, and trustworthy peers committed to supporting your goals…
and your success!
Mastermind groups offer invaluable opportunities, including:
• Networking and making life-long friends
• Integrated Education
• Skill Development
• Brainstorming
• Accountability
• Contribution and fulfillment
• Deepening your understanding of shared interests
• Challenging you to set exciting goals – goals you might not achieve otherwise
• In short, support!
What’s included in the membership?
Live Events
We’ll gather in person 3 times during our 6 months together. Our first meet-up will be in mid-July to kick off our season together. We’ll meet again in October, to have some fun and keep the connections fresh. In January, we’ll come together again to close our season in gratitude with a connected conversation to explore what’s next…
These full-day gatherings will be held at one of our member’s locations. Admission, activities, & food are included with your membership.
Group Calls
We’ll meet over Zoom for 2.5 hours, twice a month, to connect, learn, workshop each other’s initiatives, and request support.. We’ll be cultivating collective impact while learning from each other’s growth!
Additional group discussion calls & guest presentations will also be offered.
Community Support
This Mastermind isn’t just about learning stuff.
Its greatest value is in building relationships with other visionary community builders to collaborate in the exchange of wisdom, resources, & assistance, as we rise up together.
Private Members Area
Access replays, a private communication forum, member-only content, and other resources through your dashboard.
One-on-one calls
We understand that to make a grounded & effective influence on the world around us, we need to be grounded & effective at home.
As part of your membership, you’ll receive two 90-minute one-on-one calls with Jason Thomas exploring ways to improve your digital and administrative infrastructures to enhance the efficiency of your organization’s workflow.
“A mastermind is a small group that cultivates real relationships where the members are willing to share networks, resources, wisdom, and experience for the express purpose of bending time.”
– Jay Laveve
Each of our mastermind calls begins with a short check-in, grounding, & an opportunity to celebrate our forward progress from the previous call.
Twice a month, two members will have the opportunity to share what they’re working on, and receive support from the community. While these “hot seats” are focused on one person at a time, everyone gains from the experience!
Afterward, the rest of the call will be filled with opportunities to share opportunities, request support, and discuss the groups process and goals.
Meeting segments will be timed to keep things moving.
We’ll meet for a third time each month for either a live meet-up, member or guest presentations on a particular topic, or possibly to collaborate on a group project.
“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

About Jason
Permaculture Podcaster & Cultural Bridge Builder
As Creator and Podcaster at Regeneration Nation Costa Rica, I’m on a mission to promote & network regenerative projects in CR to enhance their chances to make a positive impact & thrive.
As a permaculturist with a background in business, I bridge ecologically-focused entrepreneurs with the 21st-century tools and business practices I’ve found useful in my own endeavors.
In 2009, I founded Finca Fruición in Pérez Zeledón and hosted several hundred volunteers, interns, and students, produced events, taught a little, and learned a lot.
After a dozen years dedicated to that land project, I’ve transitioned my focus to regional resilience and nationwide networking. The Sharing Insights Podcast was my first step along that path.
After a year of podcasting and understanding better the needs of that audience, Regeneration Nation Costa Rica was born to unite regenerative enterprises around the country to increase the impact we can make together.
Beyond that, I’m a father, musician, Thai massage practitioner, whole foods artist, and navigator of the mystery.
So you like the idea of being part of a mastermind?
Awesome, we already have something in common!
There’s something special about those who take stewardship of land to cultivate it in ways that benefit others and future generations.
I’ve come to realize that, with as many regenerative-minded projects as there are in Costa Rica, something is missing, keeping many of them from achieving their full potential.
… and it’s each other!
As a member of the Village Builders Mastermind, you’ll have joined an intimate community of focused support.
The majority of our time together will be in group calls or in-person meetups where we support each other with what’s most alive for us.
We’ll also have guest presentations by veteran cultural bridge builders, ticos and foreigners alike, who’ll share their wisdom aimed at helping you avoid common mistakes and achieve your goals more gracefully.
You’ll also have access to a community of change-makers ready to be part of something bigger than themselves.
If you want the support of other pioneers in the regenerative movement in Costa Rica, complete the application, and let’s talk about the possibilities.
I’m here to support you and your mission to thrive.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many people will be in the Mastermind?
The Land Steward Mastermind will be a closed circle of 12 committed members, supporting each other for 6 months through calls, conversation forums, and in-person interactions.
What's the format of these Mastermind calls, and what is a "hot seat"?
Each of our 2.5-hour mastermind calls begins with a short check-in & contemplation exercise.
During each call, 2 members will take a turn in the “hot seat.”
During that call, they’ll:
– Share what they’re celebrating or grateful for
– Describe a challenge that they’re facing or something they’d like feedback on
– Receive clarifying questions from other members
– Receive advice from the community
– Commit to a plan of action
Those who are not in the hot seat will be able to contribute their wisdom to those who are. Beyond that, they will learn from others, be able to request support, share opportunities, and otherwise enjoy their place in the community.
All shares will be timed to keep things moving.
How many calls a month will there be?
There will be 4 calls a month.
We’ll have 2 mastermind calls per month (2.5 hours each).
We’ll also have
– Once-a-month group discussion on a topic of the collective’s choosing (60-90 minutes.)
– Once-a-month guest presentation with a Q&A (60-90 minutes.)
What can we discuss or ask for help for during our time in the hot seat?
The theme of this mastermind is building cultural bridges. How that manifests for you is yours to choose. We’re here to support you in whatever you decide to do to improve your relationship with others in your region. (Finding out what the pueblo is already interested in can be a good start in planning your ambitions.)
This could be the activation of a public utility, like a library, a recycling station, or a solution to some atrophied infrastructure in the pueblo. It could also be the establishment of some regenerative enterprise, like a language school, farmers market, or any other amazing idea you, the mastermind, or your pueblo can imagine.
The mastermind isn’t just about getting things done, though. We’re here to support YOU. If you have something that needs support in your internal social infrastructure, it might be appropriate to explore that with you, first.
How do I watch the replays and other bonus material?
As a member of the Bridge Builders Mastermind, you’ll receive login access to the private membership site, where you can access the replays, communication forum, and other members-only content.
Any additional Questions?
I’d love to hear from you. Don’t hesitate to reach out.
Interested in a 1-on-1 call?
I’m Here to Help!
Book a private session with me focused on your project. We’ll explore ways to make it more efficient, reach more people, and expand options for making your ecologically & socially regenerative project financially & socially regenerative.
In this Clarity Call you can share what you’re working on and where you’d like support making it better. After understanding your needs better and what I might be able to offer, we can see if we’d be a good fit to work together toward your goals.
Your Next Steps:
Step #1
Complete the Application
The Village Builders Mastermind will be limited to 11 chosen applicants. Only completed applications will be considered. Please read the Who’s This For/Not For section above before applying.
Step #2
Check your email
Once we review your application, if it feels like you’re a good fit for the group, we’ll send you a link to set up a call to discuss the program further. I’ll be happy to answer any questions you might have.
Step #3
Come to the kick-off event.
Most of our interactions over our 6-months together will be over Zoom. However, we’ll be meeting in person to kick off our journey together (location to be announced.) This will be our chance to get to know each other and collaboratively design certain elements of the program. Oh, yeah, it’s going to be FUN, too!!!
Step #3
Show up to the calls
This is not a membership for the curious. Those chosen to be part of this group must be committed to their success and the success of the other members of the group. If you can’t commit to two 2.5 calls a month, you’d be better off not applying.
Step #4
Do your homework
Showing up to the calls is fun and informative. Doing the work is transformative. In between our calls, you’ll have lots of opportunities to take small and big steps toward making your life and business better. You get out of it what you put into it. Play full-in.
Step #5
Build relationships
It’s long been my opinion that the thing many regenerative projects are missing is each other. This is our chance to change that.
We may not have it all together, but together we can have it all!
Let’s do this!
